Dr. Klaas attended St. Mary's College of California and received her medical degree from the University of California - Irvine. Her internship was served at St. Mary's Hospital. She completed her residency at Stanford University Medical Center. Her fellowship in nuclear medicine was completed at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St. Louis.

In 1994 Dr. Klaas received her board certification from the American Board of Radiology. Her professional memberships include the American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Radiology, Society of Nuclear Medicine, Radiological Society of North America, and the American Association of Nuclear Physicians. Dr. Klaas joined Valley Radiologists in 1995.
