Dr. Sayre attended Princeton University and received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He served an internship at the University of Southern California. His residency was completed at Stanford University Medical Center, where he also completed a fellowship in MRI and cross-sectional imaging.

Dr. Sayre received his board certification from the American Board of Radiology in June 1992. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, and the American Roentgen Ray Society. Dr. Sayre joined Valley Radiologists in 1993.
